  • The Anycubic Kobra 3 Series / Kobra 3 Max Quick-Connect Fitting Housing Base Cover: is the protective structural baseplate and mounting interface for the quick-connect fitting assembly.Mounted directly atop the toolhead printhead cover, this base plate anchors the pneumatic guide-tube port securely to the chassis, providing strain relief and stabilizing the entry point where multi-color PTFE tubes feed into the extruder drive.
  • Structural Base Interface: Mounts underneath the pneumatic quick-connect housing, creating a rigid foundation that holds the PTFE input assembly flush against the toolhead shell.
  • Strain Relief & Tubing Alignment: Prevents lateral flexing and twisting of the bowden guide tubes as the toolhead moves at high acceleration (20,000 mm/s) during 600 mm/s high-speed print cycles.
  • Sealed & Dust-Protected Fit: Covers internal mounting screw channels and prevents stray filament debris, dust, or purged plastic wisps from entering the upper extruder housing.
  • Precision Injection-Molded Fit: Direct OEM replacement molded with factory alignment tabs and screw holes for seamless integration onto the Kobra 3 series printhead.

Technical Specifications

  • Compatible Models: Anycubic Kobra 3 / Kobra 3 Combo / Kobra 3 Max.
  • Application Location: Toolhead upper shell (base mount for fitting housing).
  • Material Construction: Injection-molded ABS/PC engineering polymer.

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Do Not Over-Tighten Mounting Screws: When fastening the base cover onto the plastic toolhead housing, tighten the small M2/M2.5 retaining screws until snug. Over-torquing can strip the threads in the underlying housing.
  • Align Before Snapping In: Ensure the internal alignment tabs slot cleanly into the printhead shell before tightening to avoid crushing the cover edges or misaligning the PTFE filament channel.
  • Inspect Seal During Maintenance: If replacing or cleaning the toolhead components, ensure no plastic dust or PTFE shavings are trapped underneath, as a flush seating is required for proper tube alignment.
