  • The Anycubic SP ACE Pro Buffer Component: Is the core mechanical tension manifold and position-sensing buffer assembly used in the Anycubic Color Engine (ACE Pro) across the Kobra 3 Combo, V2 Combo, Max Combo, and S1 Combo lineups. It acts as the intermediary tension control hub between the 4 internal spool feeder channels and the toolhead extruder. By combining spring-loaded guide channels with an integrated optical sensor PCB, it regulates feeding/retraction speed and prevents filament tangles or resistance jams during multi-color printing.
  • Dynamic Spring-Loaded Buffering: Features 4 independent spring-sliding channels that absorb mechanical push and pull stress during high-speed color changes and fast retractions.
  • Integrated Optical Position Sensor PCB: Includes the dedicated PCB board with infrared sensors that dynamically track buffer slider displacement, signaling the printer to speed up or slow down feeder motors.
  • 4-in-1 PTFE Guidance Hub: Connects four incoming PTFE guide tubes into a unified manifold structure leading out to the printhead.
  • Pneumatic Quick-Connect Couplers: Built-in push-to-release collets secure the 1.75 mm PTFE tubing firmly in place while allowing quick disconnection during routine maintenance.

Technical Specifications

  • Compatible Models: Anycubic ACE Pro / Kobra 3 Combo / V2 Combo / Max Combo / S1 Combo
  • Component Assembly: Buffer Spring Manifold Chassis + Optical Sensor PCB Board.
  • Supported Filament Diameter: 1.75 mm

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Verify Full PTFE Tube Insertion: When connecting PTFE tubes to the blue collets, press firmly until the tube seats fully against the internal stop. An unseated tube will cause filament tips to catch inside the buffer junction.
  • Keep Optical Sensors Free of Dust: Plastic debris or fine filament dust can build up on the IR photo-interrupter slots on the PCB board. Clean them periodically with compressed air to prevent false buffer position errors.
  • Smooth Slide Motion: Ensure the internal sliders move smoothly back and forth against spring tension without binding before fully reassembling the unit into the ACE Pro housing.
