  • The Anycubic SP Kobra S1 / S1 Combo Extruder Carriage Slab: Is the structural mounting backplate plate engineered for the high-speed CoreXY motion system of the Kobra S1 series. This precision-machined metal plate serves as the rigid structural foundation for the printhead toolhead assembly. It securely couples the direct-drive extruder, toolhead breakout PCB board, auto-leveling sensors, cooling fans, and quick-release hotend system directly to the linear motion rails.
  • High Rigidity-to-Weight Ratio: Precision-milled to maximize structural stiffness while minimizing moving mass on the X-axis carriage, allowing rapid directional shifts up to 600 mm/s without introducing frame ringing or ghosting.
  • Precision Aligning Cutouts: Machined with exact tolerance threads and mounting alignment holes to anchor the toolhead motor, hotend quick-release latching block, and cooling shroud securely.
  • Integrated Cable Strain Relief Brackets: Features designated mounting points for securing the main umbilical connection harness and PTFE guide tubes to prevent tugging on internal electrical connectors.
  • Thermal Dissipation Structure: Acts as a secondary passive heatsink surface, drawing ambient heat away from the extruder stepper motor interface during long, enclosed high-temperature prints (ABS/ASA/PET-CF).

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Torque Screws Evenly in a Cross Pattern: When mounting the extruder motor and quick-release assembly back onto the slab, tighten mounting fasteners gradually in a cross-diagonal pattern to avoid warping the carriage alignment.
  • Inspect Linear Rail Carriage Alignment: Ensure the slab sits perfectly flush against the X-axis linear carriage block or bearings before tightening the main mounting bolts; any tilt will alter the Z-offset across the print bed.
  • Re-calibrate Auto-Bed Leveling (ABL): Because the toolhead position changes minutely when swapping structural plates, execute a full Z-Offset and Auto-Bed Leveling Calibration before resuming printing.
