  • The Anycubic Kobra 3 Series / Kobra 3 Max Heated Bed Assembly (Hotbed): is the primary thermal build surface platform responsible for maintaining consistent temperature distribution across the print plate to prevent first-layer warping and adhesion failures. It consists of an aluminum alloy heat-spreader plate integrated with a high-power AC/DC heating trace element, integrated bed thermistor sensor wiring, thermal insulation backing, and a flexible magnetic sheet base.
  • Rapid Uniform Thermal Heating: Engineered with high-density trace routing to heat from room temperature up to 100°C rapidly and evenly across the entire active printing area.
  • Pre-Applied Magnetic Base: Features a high-temperature magnetic sticker pre-laminated onto the aluminum sub-plate, ensuring strong magnetic pull for PEI spring steel build plates without shifting during high-acceleration motion (20,000 mm/s).
  • Bottom Thermal Insulation: Equipped with a bottom-mounted thermal insulation cotton layer that reduces radiant heat loss downward toward the electronics, improving energy efficiency and bed heating speed.
  • Heavy-Duty Strain-Relief Harness: Integrates a reinforced wire outlet sleeve at the rear connection to prevent wire fatigue, flexing stress, or short circuits during repeated Y-axis bed motion.

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Perform Auto-Bed Leveling (ABL) Post-Replacement: After mounting a replacement bed assembly, run the printer's automatic mesh bed leveling and Z-offset calibration routine to map out any minor micro-variations.
  • Bed PID Tuning: Execute a Bed PID Calibration from the maintenance menu to allow the printer's firmware to calibrate the duty cycle of the new heating element for tight temperature control.
  • Check Y-Axis Belt & V-Wheels/Rails: When swapping the hotbed, verify that the bed carriage screws are torqued evenly to avoid twisting the aluminum plate, which can cause unnatural bed tilt.
